Midnight picked up Sonic's unconscious body as Emerald glared at Eggman: "I'll make you pay for this!"
Darkness the hedgehog was watching from the shadows, laughing to himself: He had proven to be faster and stronger than both Sonic and Shadow.

I hate fan fiction, actually. I'm just giving an example of how absurd some of them sound. Yes, I made it all up myself, that's how easy fan fiction is to write.

Anyways, I was just bored. I hope nobody actually liked my little literary piece.

sadly most fan fiction has stupid characters, and the people doing it usually suck at writing. At least thats what fan fciton.net is full of mostly

I've had issues with fan art as well. Though fan art is well-known, its originality cannot be appreciated. I'd rather spend 10 years coming up with my own design rather than spending 10 seconds copying someone else's work.

True, true, most fan fiction really is just as bland and makes the same "creative" mistakes over and over. But I have seen SOME writers actually do a fine job with Sonic fan fiction, so not all of it is horrible. Just most of it.

The main problem with fan fiction are fan characters. That, and the fact that the writing skills of most of the people who post this stuff are abysmal. This piece you wrote was not poorly written, and if more people chose to write like this, then I don't think fan fiction would have half as bad of a reputation.
